Integrated Health Chiropractors - Logo Design Sketching Process

The Integrated Health Chiropractors logo was requested to be designed as clean, simple, and straight to the point. While doing a bit of research on other chiropractic logos, I noticed a strange similarity amongst the google image search results. Which led me to believe that most chiropractors have opted to design their own logos using clip art.

The concept that I decided to roll with is focused on muscles to portray the back as opposed to the spine. I hadn't drawn a human body in years (since art school) and sketched out a few muscular backs to get reacquainted.

A simplified back somehow emerged from a series of sketches and illustrated a spine in between back muscles making use of white space. Rather than showing vertebrae of the spine, why not let the mind's eye create the imagery of the spine without actually showing it?
